We send a brand brief and a written quote with scope and timeline. ### Research We look at your market and direct competitors, wherever they are, then agree on a direction with a mood board before drawing anything. ### Concepts We present logo concepts with the reasoning for each, shown in context on mockups rather than alone on a page. You pick a direction. ### Refinement The chosen concept is developed into the full system: variations, color, type and supporting elements. Typical projects include two to three revision rounds. ### Guidelines We write and design the brand guidelines document and prepare every file format. You review it before final delivery. ### Handover Files and guidelines are delivered on final payment. A 50% upfront payment begins the project and the balance is due before we release the final files. The tiers below are starting points, not fixed packages. **How long does a brand identity project take?** Essentials usually takes 1 to 2 weeks from the first call to final files, Complete 2 to 3 weeks and a Custom identity 3 to 6 weeks, depending on scope and how quickly feedback comes back at each stage. The timeline is set in the agreement before we begin. **What do I need to provide before you start on the identity?** A description of your business, who your customers are, and any existing material such as a current logo, website or product photos. We do the research, writing and design; you need to be available for review at each stage. **What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?** A logo is one mark. A brand identity is the whole visual system around it: color palette, typography, graphic elements, imagery style and the rules for combining them. A logo on its own leaves every later design decision open; an identity settles them in advance. **Do you use templates or stock logos?** No. Every identity is designed custom for the business, starting from a written brief and original concepts. Templates and stock logos are ruled out because the same mark can appear on other businesses and is hard to protect. **Will I own the logo and brand files?** Yes. On full payment, ownership of the final deliverables transfers to you, including the editable vector files. You are free to register the mark as a trademark and to give the files to any designer, printer or developer.
