Logo Design at N&D Co. is a custom service that produces an original logo and the basic identity elements around it. It includes market research, concept sketches, refinement of a chosen direction, a primary logo with horizontal, stacked and icon-only versions, a color palette, and vector source files in AI, EPS, SVG and PDF. It is for startups and small businesses that need a first logo or a redesign. N&D Co. is based in Barrackpore, Kolkata, and works with businesses worldwide. A short video with music and no speech. Its on-screen text repeats the copy on this page. ## What changes for your business ### A mark that works at every size The logo reads clearly as a favicon, on a shop sign and on an invoice, because we test each concept at small and large sizes before showing it. ### Files any vendor can use Printers, signage makers, embroiderers and web developers each need a different format. You get all of them in one folder, with a guide on which file goes where. ### A starting point for the whole brand The palette, typefaces and spacing rules that come with the logo carry straight into business cards, a website and social media. Later design work builds on the same decisions. ## What is included ### Discovery and research A short questionnaire and a call about your business, customers and the competitors you want to stand apart from, plus a review of the marks already used in your category. ### Concept directions Initial directions presented as flat black-and-white marks, so the shape is judged before color, each with a note on the idea behind it. ### Refinement Proportions, letter spacing, stroke weights and the icon are adjusted through the agreed revision rounds until the mark is final. ### Logo lockups The primary logo plus horizontal, stacked and icon-only versions, each in full color, single color, black and white, and reversed for dark backgrounds. ### Color palette and typefaces Primary and secondary colors in CMYK, RGB and HEX, and the typefaces used in the logo with notes on where to license them. ### Vector source files Editable AI and EPS files, SVG for web, PDF for print, and PNG exports with transparent backgrounds, with fonts outlined so the files open anywhere. ### Basic usage guide A short PDF showing clear space, minimum size, approved color combinations and mistakes to avoid, such as stretching or recoloring the mark. ## Logo design pricing Every quote is fixed before work starts. We follow up with a call. ### Quote and agreement We send a fixed quote and a short agreement listing concept directions, revision rounds, deliverables and the delivery date. Work starts on signature and the 50% advance. ### Concept presentation After research and wide sketching, we present the strongest directions in black and white, each with a short rationale and mockups on a business card and a phone screen. You pick one. ### Refinement The chosen direction goes through the agreed revision rounds. Color comes in here, and we test the mark at favicon size and on a large sign. ### Final files After the balance is paid, you receive every lockup in AI, EPS, SVG, PDF and PNG with the color and type specifications and the usage guide. Ownership transfers to you here, and the 7-day support window begins. ## Who this is for - Founders registering a new company in Kolkata, anywhere else in India, or anywhere in the world who need a logo before printing cards or opening a social account. - Established businesses whose current logo no longer works on a website or a phone screen. - Product brands that need a mark strong enough to sit on packaging next to bigger competitors. - Clubs and events that need an identity for a fixed period and want to keep the source files. ## Frequently asked questions **How much does a custom logo design cost?** Each logo project is quoted as a fixed price before we start. The price depends on the number of concept directions, revision rounds and extras such as a usage guide or a social profile kit. We take 50% upfront and the balance before the final files are released. **How long does it take to design a logo?** We agree the delivery date in writing before work starts. An Essential logo usually takes 3 to 5 days, the Identity tier 7 to 10 days and a Custom project 2 to 3 weeks. Research, sketching and your reviews take most of that time, so quick feedback keeps it short. **What do I need to give you before you start?** The business name exactly as it should appear, any tagline, a description of what you do and who buys from you, and examples of logos you like and dislike from any industry. Send an existing logo, colors or website if you have them. **Which file formats do I get, and do I own the logo?** You get editable vector files (AI, EPS, SVG and PDF) plus transparent PNG exports for every lockup and color version. Ownership of the final logo transfers to you once the invoice is paid in full. We may show the logo in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to. **How many logo concepts will I see?** The number of initial directions is fixed in the quote; the tiers below show the counts. We show fewer, more developed directions rather than a wall of options, because each is researched and tested at small sizes first. After you choose one, revisions focus on that mark alone. **Can you redesign my existing logo instead of starting over?** Yes. A refresh keeps the recognizable parts of your current mark and fixes the problems, such as poor legibility at small sizes, dated typography or a shape that fails on screens. It is scoped like a new logo: fixed price, agreed revision rounds. ## Who you will work with N&D Co. is run by its founder, [Nakshatra Ranjan Saha](https://ndcompany.in/team/nakshatra-ranjan-saha) (CEO & Founder), from Barrackpore, Kolkata, West Bengal, India.
