How much does it cost to build a mobile app in India?
A Starter app is ₹59,999 in India and $949 elsewhere: Android and iOS from one codebase, up to 8 screens, login and a Firebase backend, with no admin panel. A restaurant ordering app starts at ₹99,999 ($1,599), a Business app at ₹1,49,999 ($2,399), an e-commerce app at ₹1,99,999 ($3,199) and a custom multi-role app at ₹3,49,999 ($5,599). Every quote is set in writing before work starts, and most projects start with a 50% advance. The tiers on this page are starting points.
How long does it take to build an app?
A Starter app usually takes 4 to 6 weeks, a restaurant ordering app 6 to 10, and a Business or e-commerce app 8 to 12. A custom app is timed in your quote. Store review comes on top: Apple says it typically reviews at least half of submissions in under 24 hours and 90% in under 48 hours, and Google gives no fixed time and says some accounts take up to seven days or longer in exceptional cases.
What do the Google Play and Apple developer accounts cost, and who pays?
You do, directly, and the accounts are in your name. Google Play charges US$25 once. The Apple Developer Program is US$99 for each membership year, and Apple shows the rupee amount when you enrol in India. Neither fee is part of our price.
Does my business need a D-U-N-S number?
If you register as an organization, both stores ask for one: Google for an organization account, and Apple for an organization enrolment. It is free to apply for and can take up to 30 days, and we help you apply. Google requires an organization account for some kinds of app, such as financial and health apps. A personal Google Play account needs no D-U-N-S number, but a new one must run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days before its first public release. These are the stores' rules as we last checked them, and we check them again before every launch.
Do you build with React Native or with native code?
We use React Native with Expo by default: one codebase for Android and iOS, so every tier covers both stores and you do not have to pick one. React Native draws real native components, not a web page inside an app. If you want separate native apps, Kotlin for Android and Swift for iOS, we build them on request at extra cost, set in your quote.
Can you turn my website into an app?
Not as a plain wrapper. Apple rejects apps that are only a repackaged website or a collection of links, so we build an app with something real to do, such as ordering, booking or an account. If an installable web app is enough for you, our website and software development services cover that and usually cost less.
Who owns the app and the source code?
You do. Both developer accounts are registered to your business, every quote names the source repository, and on full payment ownership of the final deliverables named in your quote passes to you. We may show the completed work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.
Does the app come with an admin panel?
Business, e-commerce and custom apps include a web admin panel for orders, users and content. The restaurant package includes a basic admin for the menu and the order list. Starter has none.
What do I pay after the app is launched?
Bug fixes are free for the first month. After that, the care plan is ₹4,999 a month in India or $79 a month elsewhere, and covers updates, operating system and API-level upgrades, bug fixes and backups. You also pay your backend provider directly for hosting, SMS and maps. The stores update their requirements each year: Google asks apps to target a recent Android version to stay available to new users, so an app left without updates can drop out.
Do you build restaurant ordering and e-commerce apps?
Yes, as two named packages. The restaurant ordering app has a menu, a cart, UPI or Razorpay payments, an order list and a basic admin, from ₹99,999 or $1,599. The e-commerce app has a catalogue, a cart, payments, orders and an admin panel, from ₹1,99,999 or $3,199. Apple's App Review Guidelines say physical goods and services used outside the app can be paid for with methods other than in-app purchase, such as cards, while digital items need Apple's in-app purchase, so we check which applies in discovery.
Can I see an app you have built?
Not yet. Mobile app development is a new service for us, and we have no app of our own to show. What we can show is our web application work, such as the case management platform in the Bangali Oikya Manch case study on our projects page, which is a web application and not a mobile app. We will not describe it as one.
