Overview

We designed a promotional creative for Iron Nerve Fitness, a Roman-themed gym on Ghosh Para Road in Barrackpore, Kolkata. It is one portrait graphic that asks people to join: the gym's round badge at the top, the headline "Stop dreaming. Start doing!" in stencil capitals, and a photo of a lifter crossed by two red bands printed with "Join now!"

Promotional graphics like this one are part of our graphic design service.

About Iron Nerve Fitness

Iron Nerve Fitness is a gym on the first floor of Ananya Apartment on Ghosh Para Road, beside Lalkuthi, in Barrackpore, Kolkata. Google Maps lists it as a fitness centre, and the fitness site Yoactiv lists it at the same address, with the badge from the creative as its logo.

The gym's Instagram account, @iron.nerve_fitness, uses the badge as its profile picture, and its bio is the motto written around the badge: "Dare to be fit, dare to be you."

The creative is a black portrait in two halves. The top half holds the gym's badge and, under it, the headline. The bottom half is a photo of a bearded, tattooed lifter in a dim gym, at the bottom of a squat with a barbell across the front of his shoulders.

The badge is round. Its outer band carries "Dare to be fit" along the top and "Dare to be you" along the bottom in white hand lettering, with a red star on each side, and its black centre has "Iron Nerve Fitness" in worn red capitals around a white fist gripping a dumbbell.

The headline, "Stop dreaming. Start doing!", runs over two lines in stencil capitals, and the colours swap from one line to the next: "Stop" in white and "dreaming." in red, then "Start" in red and "doing!" in white.

Two translucent red bands cross over the photo like barrier tape, each printed with "Join now!" again and again in white, and the lifter stays visible through them. White chevron outlines sit in the top left and bottom right corners, and red hexagon dots in the other two.

Apart from the photo, everything on the creative is red, white or black, the colours of the badge. Writing down a brand's colour codes so that every new piece uses the same ones is one job of a brand style guide.

The finished file is 2160 by 2700 pixels, a 4:5 portrait. Instagram shares photos at up to 1080 pixels wide, sizes larger ones down to that width and crops a photo only when its shape falls outside 1.91:1 to 3:4 (Instagram Help Centre), so this file would be shared whole, at 1080 by 1350 pixels.
